A New Truck Required Adaptation to Keep a Veteran on the Move

Marc Owens was from a military family.  His own military career had some varied and interesting duties along the way: Armor Crewman (M60 A3 tanks), Ft. Carson, CO; Air Defense Artillery, Ft. Stewart, GA; and AIRBORNE Rigger, Ft. Bragg, NC. In 2002, he became a member of the US Army Parachute Team–The Golden Knights.  Marc later served as coach of the parachute team at West Point Military Academy.  After that, he served a tour of duty in Afghanistan.  Shortly after returning home, Marc was injured in a horrific training accident, which resulted in the amputation of both his legs.  The Given Limb helped Marc by buying and paying for the installation of floor-mounted hand controls, shown here, for his 2015 Dodge Ram truck.  The Given Limb also paid for the installation of other equipment, such as the parking brake, from his prior vehicle.
